Provides support to the Manager of US Logistics and Trade Customs Compliance based in the United States of America. Assists the International Trade Compliance team in developing and administering an effective trade compliance program to ensure company compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
Responsabilities:
Support day-to-day Import/Export shipments, regulatory compliance and coordinating accurate and timely documents with Customs, and other governmental agencies as required.
Provide guidance for government regulations, policies, and guidelines mandated by government agencies.
Establish and maintain a working relationship with all intra company departments and facilities to fully understand the business, technical aspects of the product, research, materials, applications and other business resources.
Provide guidance to employees concerning the requirements and obligations of cross-border movement of goods.
Conduct day to day trade activities to ensure international shipments are in compliance including: shipping documentation, export license determination, classification, valuation and Incoterms.
Work with the various company subsidiary entities importing goods into the USA to ensure correctness of import documents and the appropriate transportation method.
Knowledge and understanding of all GRIs, Explanatory Notes, Chapter and Section Notes to support HTS classification.
Support the product classification process to ensure HTS assignment and communication of this information to appropriate business personnel.
Assists Corporate Trade Compliance Manager on ruling requests.
Maintain and update classifications like HTS, Origin in local part database and or ERP system for import and export activity.
Keep brokers updated with the current part database.
Participate in Corporate annual Risk Assessments for Export Program.
Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures with Customs Brokers and internal Policies & Procedures.
Maintain due dates for various trade related certifications to include, but not limited to Powers of
Attorney, VAT Certifications, Security Programs CTPAT, Brokerage Agreements, Customs Bonds, third party contracts, etc.
Help to coordinate and deliver internal Annual Trade Compliance Training Program.
